My Electronic Diary For June 2026 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

08:37 BST
Yesterday was even cooler than recent days. The afternoon may have peaked at 24° C. It was a dry day although there were a few times when it seemed like the clouds were thickening. Most of the clouds were thin enough to allow for sunny spells through the day. ![]() Once again it seemed very
chilly first thing this morning, and I doubt the
temperature has risen more than a degree since then.
The forecast predicts some drizzle at midday, but
nothing before, and my barometers just say it will
be cloudy, but we have just had a fair shower. I
think it has stopped for now, but it was enough to
leave the road outside looking wet. This afternoon
may see some sunny spells, and the temperature may
rise to 23° C. From 6pm the clouds will thicken
enough to lose the sunny spells for a few hours, but
8pm may see more sunny spells. By midnight the
temperature may be down to 18° C. Tomorrow may start
at 16° C, and there could be a couple of hours of
full sunshine. The rest of the morning, and up to
4pm may be dull, but it will still warm up to 25° C
by 4pm. No rain is forecast for tomorrow.
Yesterday was only a mildly productive day. There were a few interesting bits, but on the whole it was a rather bland day. Unless I suddenly get verbal diarrhoea this could be quite a short diary today. I ended up writing as much about this morning as for the whole of yesterday, but it can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |

09:06 BST
Yesterday was a bit cooler than recent days, and despite a weather warning for heat, it did not seem excessively hot - more like fairly warm ! The afternoon may have briefly peaked at 25° C at 2pm.No rain was forecast, and none fell. The most noteworthy thing was how cool it got in the night. By midnight it was starting to feel quite cool at just 17° C. ![]() It felt very chilly in my
bedroom when I got up. It was only 15° C outside at
7am, and there was enough breeze to push that cool
air into my bedroom. It was supposed to be sunny at
7 and 8am, bit it was too cloudy for that, although
there were some short sunny spells. The rest of the
day will also feature sunny spells. The afternoon
temperature may peak at 24° C, but only at 4pm.
Before and after that it may be a degree or two
cooler. Tonight the temperature may drop to 17° C,
and tomorrow may start off very fresh again. The
forecast for tomorrow actually says 16° C at 6am.
The day will feature almost no sunshine, but it
should stay dry, although there is a 10 to 13%
chance of rain in the later part of the afternoon.
Yesterday had a few good moments, but much of it was rather dull, although with a bit of effort I could have made it a bit productive. The highlight was a shopping trip to Aldi, and before that washing my hair and having a shower. Afterwards the highlights were mainly eating. As usual, my whole day, or as much of it as seems worth writing about, is described, along with some notes about this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |

08:44 BST
Yesterday seemed a bit cooler than recent days, and despite a weather warning for heat, it did not seem excessively hot - more like very warm ! The afternoon may have briefly peaked at 30° C at 4pm, but most of the afternoon was a degree or two cooler. There was some rain in the morning, but was very light, and barely wet the ground. ![]() Today is already feeling
cooler. The breeze, when it is strong enough to blow
through my bedroom window, actually feels very fresh
and cool. Very little sunshine is forecast for
today, and as I write this it is looking quite dull
outside, and it gives the impression that we could
get an shower even if the forecast says it will be
dry all day long. We have had some sunny spells this
morning, and there could be some this afternoon, but
the temperature will only peak at 25° C. That might
feel fairly cool compared to the 30+ degrees we have
had in the last week or so. Tonight the temperature
may go down to a chilly 15° C. Tomorrow may feature
a lot of sunshine, but not non stop full sunshine.
It will help to warm the cool morning up, but may
only manage an afternoon temperature of just 24° C.
Yesterday was another day where very little happened. Maybe only two things of note happened. One was I felt very sweaty after a sticky night, and I had a quick shower, but I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair. The other thing is that I tried to eat in a similar was to the day before in the hope of losing more weight. There was not a lot to add to that except some notes about this morning, and my complete page can be read in my archived version. |

09:26 BST
Yesterday probably deserved it's red and amber warning for extreme heat, but maybe only according to the forecast temperatures. The forecast said a peak of 34° C, but I am not sure it did get that high. For some reason I didn't think yesterday was extremely hot. It was hot enough to sweat, but with my fans, and chilled water, I seemed to be generally comfortable. The breeze seemed notably fresher at around 11pm, but I do remember my thermometer's saying it was about as forecast, 24° C. ![]() There was some rain in the
early hours of this morning, and although none
seemed to be local, I saw quite a few flashes of
lightning lighting up the sky in the direction of
Croydon. The rumbles of thunder seemed to be from
far away and maybe that might have been Croydon too.
The rain had finished probably earlier than 9am when
the last was forecast to fall. Since then we have
had some sunny spells, but there is still lots of
thin looking cloud in the sky. This afternoon the
temperature may peak at 30° C for a single hour at
4pm, although the Met Office forecast says 32° C. No
rain is expected tomorrow, and it will be a little
cooler with a possible high of just 25° C tomorrow
afternoon.
Yesterday was not a very exciting day, and I didn't really achieve much except losing a surprising amount of weight. One thing about yesterday was that although I spent most of the day doing nothing but reading and some snoozing, the day didn't seem to drag at all. I felt quite OK as I waited for bedtime, but I seemed in no rush for it. All I can remember of the day, plus some notes about this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |

09:05 BST
Yesterday was very warm, but after full sunshine all day, it seemed to feel cooler than the day before. The evening breeze felt quite fresh. Despite how it seemed to feel, the afternoon temperature reached 31° C, and by midnight the temperature only fell to 24° C. ![]() Once again there is
another double weather warning for today - both an
amber and a red warning of extreme heat. Today,
after non stop sunshine, the afternoon should rise
to 34° C for a couple of hours. Tomorrow (Saturday)
looked like it might be a cooler day, but apparently
it may still reach 30° C in the afternoon. There
could be light rain in the morning, and the
afternoon, when the temperature peaks, could see
drizzle. All that heat could brew up a thunderstorm,
although none are shown in the forecast - just light
drizzly rain, and presumably fairly hot rain !
Yesterday was just a tiny bit cooler than the day before, and so not only was I more inclined to do stuff, I actually did it. I washed my hair and had a shower. I did other stuff too, and it is all described in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes a few notes about this morning. |

08:57 BST
Yesterday was definitely hot again. The afternoon peaked at 34° C - at least that was the forecast, and I can't remember if I checked the reality of that. By 3am this morning it was forecast to be down to 21° C, and it was feeling a lot fresher. ![]() There is another double
weather warning for today - both an amber and a red
warning of extreme heat. However, this afternoon may
only see a peak of 31° C, and that for only an hour.
That is 3° C less than yesterday was supposed to
have reached. On the other hand, my thermometers say
this morning is around 26 to 27° C, but the forecast
says it should only have been 21° C at 6am. It did
feel fresh outside, but I am not sure it was that
cool. Anyway, today should be dry, and we can expect
non stop sunshine. The wind is from the east, and
that is usually a cooler direction. Tomorrow may see
a return to 34° C, but a respite is on it's way.
Saturday may still see 29° C, but most of the day
will be dull, and most of the day should see rain.
Most of it may be just light rain, but the heat
could brew up a thunderstorm, although none are
shown on Saturday's forecast - yet !
Yesterday was another day where it felt too hot to do anything. Once again, and just as surprisingly, that included eating, although I think I ate more than the day before yesterday. All I can recall about my day, yesterday, is described in my complete archived page for today, and which includes some notes about this morning. |

09:03 BST
Yesterday was definitely hot. It took until late afternoon, just after 4pm if I recall correctly, for the temperature to reach the forecast peak of 33° C. It didn't seem to be very humid, and so it might have felt worse than it did. By 4am the next morning the temperature was still forecast to be 21° C, but I can't confirm that beyond saying it was a warm night. ![]() The BBC forecast (in the
screen shot above) only says "Weather warnings
issued". The Met Office says an Amber warning of
heat, and a rather rare RED warning of extreme heat
for today. Maybe it will only be a degree higher
than yesterday's 33° C, but this morning has
started off quite warm enough, and by midnight it
may only have cooled to 23° C. So a whole day of
heat to endure ! Tomorrow may only peak at 31° C,
but that is hot enough to be bothersome. Like today,
tomorrow morning and evening will still be quite
warm (20° C at 6am and 24° C at midnight).The day
after tomorrow may see 34° C again, but the day
after that (Saturday) may be cooler, and there could
be some rain, albeit warm rain !
Yesterday felt a bit too warm to do much - so I went into lazy mode and didn't do much at all. What I did end doing is all described, along with some notes about this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |

09:26 BST
Yesterday was quite a warm day. It was sunny all day long, but there was a cool breeze from the east, and that kept the temperature down to only 27° C. It was not shown on the morning versions of the forecasts, but starting around 9pm, maybe 10pm, there was a fair bit of rain. ![]() Today is going to be very
warm, but there is hotter to come ! As I write this
the sun is shining, but they sky still looks light
grey instead of blue. If the forecast is correct it
will soon change to pure blue, and the sun will be
beating down. It may raise the temperature to 33° C.
It is probably going to be quite a sticky night, and
then tomorrow there could be non stop sunshine from
dawn to dusk, and the afternoon may see 35° C. After
tomorrow it may be cooler for the foreseeable future
(i.e. a maximum of two weeks ahead).
Yesterday was my birthday, but that made no great changes to the day. In some ways it was a lot like a Sunday, but maybe 50% less boring. On such a prestigious day I washed my hair, and had a shower, and I think I slightly tidied my beard as well. The rest of my day, plus some notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
| Monday 22nd June 2026 |
|
07:59 BST
Most of yesterday only featured sunny spells, but the afternoon still reached 29° C. It felt quite warm, but it didn't seem to be nasty and humid. By midnight the temperature had fallen to 19° C, but only fell a couple more degrees in the night. ![]() This morning there is
enough thin cloud to dim any sunshine, but the
forecast says that cloud will soon burn off to leave
a very sunny day. Despite the weather warning of
extreme heat, today may only see a high of 27° C, or
2° C less than yesterday. The warnings of extreme
heat may be more pertinent to tomorrow when the day
will feature non stop sunshine, and the afternoon
may reach a sizzling 35° C. The day after could see
37° C !!!!
I had several ideas for yesterday, but most involved rail travel, and that is not always easy on a Sunday.Instead of going out I stayed in. It meant I didn't do much. What I did do is all described, together with some notes about this morning, and it can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
| Sunday 21st June 2026 |

09:11 BST
Most of yesterday was quite dull, but it was still warm. The afternoon peaked at 26° C, but maybe only for a single hour (most of the afternoon was 25° C.) There were some sunny spells at the beginning and end of the day, but none in the middle. ![]() Today started with full
sunshine, but by 9am it was reduced to sunny spells,
and they should continue until one glorious burst of
full sunshine at 9pm as the sun is setting. This
afternoon should see 29° C. Tomorrow will see the
first day of the weather warnings for extreme heat.
The day may feature non stop sunshine, but curiously
the afternoon temperature maybe a degree less than
today at just 28° C. It will probably feel a lot
hotter in the full sunshine, but today could feel
very muggy, and that may feel worse.
I had several plans for yesterday, or maybe they should just been called pipe dreams because none of them were realised, although I did take in one small parcel delivery. Those unrealised plans and ideas, plus what I actually did do, is all described in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes some notes about this morning. |

09:38 BST
Yesterday was very warm and sunny. The afternoon temperature reached 29° C, and it only dropped to 17° C. ![]() This morning has featured
a few poor quality sunny spells, but most of today
is forecast to be quite dull - except in the Met
Office forecast that shows sunny spells all day. It
feels slightly warm and a bit muggy even now, and
maybe it will get worse. Both forecast predict an
afternoon high of 26° C today. Tomorrow could
be quite sunny, and the afternoon temperature could
reach 29° C.A "Weather Warning" has been issued for
extreme heat. The peculiar thing is it shows the
warning for Monday and Tuesday, but only Tuesday
looks like it will be extremely hot with temperature
reaching 34° C. Wednesday is also shown as reaching
34° C but no warning is shown for that day.
Yesterday was basically a failure, but more about that further down the page. I did have one little triumph that might have balanced the books, but in one respect it barely made a difference. Most of my day was setting me and things up for the evening - except I did nothing in the evening. The reason for that, and a description of much of the rest of my day, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

08:55 BST
Yesterday seemed quite warm, and with the afternoon temperature reaching reaching 26° C it definitely was a very warm, and once again a bit muggy, afternoon. There was no hint of the sun until about midday when some sunny spells started, and from 7pm we had full sunshine until the sun had dipped near the horizon a few hours later. ![]() The sky is mostly blue,
and the sun is shining. It should stay shining, non
stop, until sunset. It will push the afternoon
temperature up to 29° C, and make for a very hot
day. Most of tomorrow will be dull, but the
day should still see a probably very muggy 27° C.
Yesterday was a good day, but I am not so sure it was a very good day, and some of it was not good at all. Possibly even very slightly bad, although that is mostly true for the evening, and that was particularly bad ! More about that unpleasantness later on, further down the page. My day is described in more detail, including some notes about this morning, and can be read as my complete archived page for today. |
| Thursday 18th June 2026 |
|
08:47 BST
Yesterday seemed quite warm despite the temperature only reaching 24° C in the afternoon. There was very little sunshine yesterday, and there was a shower or two in the morning, but otherwise the weather seemed almost bland apart from the slightly muggy warmth. ![]() This morning it is quite
cloudy, but the sun is filtering through a few gaps.
Today should be dry, and from midday there could be
sunny spells followed by full sunshine at 7pm. The
afternoon may reach a rather warm 26° C. Tomorrow
could be very sunny, and the afternoon may reach 29°
C.
Yesterday was a day where so very little happened that I am tempted to write almost nothing about it because there is nothing to write about ! Well, almost nothing..... I still managed to write 1,299 words about it, including some notes about this morning, and all can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
| Wednesday 17th June 2026 |
|
09:00 BST
Yesterday was often dull, but it was a dry day. Even with only a few sunny spells it was still a warm day, and the afternoon reached 25° C. Even the evening didn't seem to be cold, although it was fresh with the window blowing through an open window. ![]() There has been at least
one light shower this morning, and together with the
dull grey light, it seems like today may not be
actually horrible, but it will not be a pleasant
day. The afternoon may reach 24° C for a single
hour, but 23° C would be more representative for the
afternoon. The evening could see some sunny spells,
but otherwise it seems like it will be a grey
day.....actually, the latest revision shows full
sunshine for 8 and 9pm ! Tomorrow should
feature a lot more sunshine, or sunny spells, and
the afternoon could reach 27° C.
I don't think I can describe yesterday as a good day, but then again it was not a bad day either. It was probably boringly normal - some good bits, some bad bits, and one infuriating bit ! My day, or as much as I can remember or consider worth recounting, can be read in it's entirety in my complete archived page for today, and which includes some notes about this morning (and a video if you are able to watch it). |
| Tuesday 16th June 2026 |

09:19 BST
Yesterday started off with light rain and drizzle, but it dried up by about midday if I recall correctly. Later in the afternoon we had sunny spells. By 4pm the temperature had risen to 21° C. By midnight the temperature fell to 16° C, and much of the night stayed at that temperature. ![]() This morning is fairly
bright, and now there are some sunny spells to make
it seem brighter. Those sunny spells are forecast to
be very sparse, and while this afternoon may reach a
very nice seeming 25° C, there will be few sunny
spells, and I suspect it might be quite muggy
feeling. Tonight may be a degree less cool than last
night. Tomorrow morning could see a couple of light
showers, but most of the day is only shown as
cloudy. The afternoon may reach 23° C. There may be
sunny spells after 6pm tomorrow.
Yesterday was not very good day. In fact I seem to remember it as being rather dull (weather wise and otherwise). However, I must have got a few things right during the day. What I somehow got right, and the rest of my day, plaus some notes about this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
| Monday 15th June 2026 |
|
08:04 BST
Yesterday was a very half-hearted attempt at summer. Much of the day featured sunny spells, and it was dry, but the afternoon temperature only reached 20° C. By midnight the temperature fell to about 15° C. ![]() This morning hasn't got
off to a good start. It is dull, and we have have a
mix of drizzle and light rain. The light rain may
not finish until 1pm, and from 2pm we might get
sunny spells until sunset. The afternoon should see
a high of 21° C. Warmer days may be on their way.
Tomorrow may see 25° C in the afternoon, but it
seems the day will be mostly dull with just a
scattering of sunny spells. By Thursday we could see
27° C, and 29° C on Friday.
Yesterday must have been better than I thought when I saw my health readings this morning, but maybe only in one specialist way. I don't recall much of yesterday being all that good, but then again it is hard to list anything bad about it. I guess that made it a fairly typical day for me. All I wrote about yesterday, plus some notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

08:38 BST
Yesterday was a dry day, and it was almost warm. The morning featured sunny spells, and although I don't quite remember it as such, there was supposed to be full sunshine from 2pm until sunset. The afternoon reached 21° C, which was nice, but it seemed very poor for only a week away from mid-summers day. It cooled down quite a bit after sunset, and by 1am it was down to 14° C. ![]() This morning started with
what may have been the only full sunshine today. The
rest of today will be just sunny spells, and so the
afternoon will only peak at 20° C - warm enough for
shorts and t-shirt, but far from baking hot. In fact
it may well feel cold in the shade. The whole day
should be dry, and that will help. Tomorrow may
feature some drizzle at 8am, but the rest of the day
may be dry with sunny spells until sunset. Like
today, the afternoon may only see 20° C.
Yesterday was part good, and a lot bad. I think going out shopping broke me. I did not feel good when I got home, but it was useful to experiment on what would make me feel better. I think I did have some success, but it was the last straw for going out in the evening. The full version of my day, including notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

08:02 BST
Yesterday was a dry day, and it was fairly warm, but it was also quite dull until about 6pm when we had some nice sunshine. The afternoon temperature reached 21° C, but by midnight the temperature had dropped to just 14° C. ![]() There is a lot of cloud as
I write this, but among the cloud are some large
islands of blue sky. When the sun can shine through
the blue areas it is wonderfully sunny, but since I
started writing the sun seems to have gone behind
the cloud. The forecast optimistically shows lots of
sunny spells until 2pm when there may be full
sunshine for the rest of the day (except 7pm !).
This afternoon should see 21° C - rather better than
the current 14° C. Like yesterday, the temperature
will have dropped a lot by midnight, but maybe only
to 15° C, although it will continue to drop through
the small hours of tomorrow. It should be a nice
bright day tomorrow. The morning may start with full
sunshine, but after 9am there may only be sunny
spells until sunset. Tomorrow afternoon's
temperature may only reach 20° C, but that is not
too bad.
Yesterday started with me feeling achey, and there was a hint that it might have been illness rather than the weather. I found that Paracetamol improved how I felt a lot. Like most days, some of it was good, and some bad. I can't really put a figure on it, but maybe it was half of one and half of the other. My day is more fully described, with some notes about this morning, and it can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |

08:41 BST
Yesterday was another wet day. Most of the rain was light rain, and from indoors it was not always easy to see if it was raining of if it had stopped for a while. The forecast said it would rain from 9am until 8pm, and that seemed to be how it actually was. It was quite a cool day with the afternoon at just 13° C, but the evening saw 16° C. ![]() Today may be a dry day, at
least no rain is shown in the forecast. There may
even be some nice sunshine in the early evening, but
most of the day seems like it will be dry. This
afternoon should see 21° C for a few hours. Tomorrow
may feature sunny spells followed by pure sunshine,
but the afternoon temperature may still only rise
to 21° C again.
Yesterday was a good and bad day. It was bad because I felt bad again. I find it hard to describe the symptoms because it was nearly everything the hurt, felt stiff, felt creaky, and my guts felt funny (mostly the return of the side effect of Mounjaro where the contents of the stomach don't empty, and start to ferment). The good was probably the late afternoon beer tasting session - sort of. My day, with some notes about this morning, is more fully described in my complete archived page for today. |

09:55 BST
Yesterday featured loads of dark clouds, but I think there was less rain than forecast, although doesn't mean a trivial amount. Sometimes it really chucked it down ! The afternoon only reached 16° C, and it was definitely a day when I used the heater on low to take the chill off. ![]() This morning started with
a weak sunny spell or two, but it looks like today
could end up as wet as yesterday....although heavy
rain is only forecast for 1pm today. Much of the day
will be almost chilly, or definitely chilly for
June. The afternoon may only reach 13° C, but the
evening could see 16° C. Tomorrow is going to be a
grey day, but it may stay dry, The afternoon
temperature may reach 21° C, but that still seems
low considering we are roughly a fortnight away from
mis summers day !
I am not sure why, but I am going to describe yesterday as a good day. I probably did do all I set out to do, and that was mostly to make sure I received all the parcels I was expecting. My full day, or as much as I can remember, or seems relevant, is more fully described in my complete archived page for today, and it includes some notes about this morning. |

09:11 BST
The middle of yesterday was forecast to be wet, but I am not sure that it was all that wet. I don't seem to recall 5 hours of light rain, but maybe there were one or two. Once again it was quite a cold day. The ends of the day were just 11° C, and the afternoon only reached 17° C for a single hour (according to the forecast - I only occasionally glanced at my thermometers, but didn't bother to memorise what I saw. ![]() This morning has started
bright bright and sunny, and there is still enough
weak hazy sunshine to cast a feint shadow. Rain
should have started half an hour ago as I write
this, but it remains dry. I am sure that sooner or
later it will rain, and it could last until mid
evening. It is possible that 4 and 5pm may see some
thunderstorms. This afternoon may only see a maximum
of 16° C. A lot of rain is forecast for
tomorrow, and some of it may be heavy rain, but it
seems it will not be warm enough to trigger any
thunderstorms. Tomorrow afternoon may only reach a
chilly 13° C, but it may be warmer in the early
evening with 16° C around sun set.
My mind is almost a complete blank about yesterday. I know that nothing much happened, but I am sure I can pad today's diary entry out with some recollections. My health readings this morning suggest I did something right yesterday. All I can remember, plus some notes about this morning, is all written in my complete archived page for today. |

07:49 BST
Yesterday was not a dry day ! I don't recall any peals of thunder, but there were a couple of times when the rain seemed quite heavy. Most of the rain was fairly light, and contrary to the weather forecast, the rain was not non stop. There were odd hours when no rain fell. It was quite a cool day, and the afternoon temperature only reached 17° C for just 2 hours. ![]() This morning is definitely
bright and sunny, but if the forecast is right it
will soon get cloudy, and more rain could fall after
midday. Today the afternoon temperature may only
reach 17° C for one single hour at 3pm, and most of
the afternoon could be a couple of degrees cooler.
The rain may stop at 5pm, and from then until sunset
we could get sunny spells and sunshine. Tomorrow may
be an even colder day, and the afternoon may feature
thundery showers. This is not June weather at all.
I didn't realise it until this morning, but yesterday was a semi-good day. The rain put me off doing anything outdoors, but there was a long lull in the rain, and it was long enough to go shopping and get home again without getting wet. The rest of my day, and some notes about this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |

07:39 BST
Yesterday was a dry day, but apart from a few sunny spells in the morning, it was a very dull day. The afternoon temperature reached 18° C. ![]() As I write this (actually
at 9.30am) it is bone dry outside, but I must admit
the sky does look grey and threatening. Somehow I
find the idea of thundery showers, of which only one
is shown despite it being a headline feature, seems
unlikely. At some point there is almost certainly
going to be rain, and once it starts it might
continue through to 8pm when the sun may come out.
The afternoon temperature may just be 17° C.
Tomorrow could start with full sunshine. The rest of
the day may feature some random sunny spells, and
mostly in the first half of the day, some showers.
Late tomorrow afternoon may see the temperature
reach 17° C for a short while, but much of the day
will be a fair bit cooler.
Yesterday may have been dry, which could have been good, but it was also rather dull, which was bad. I did not feel inspired to do much. I had been thinking of going shopping, but the dullness put me off, as did some very bad weight and blood glucose measurements in the morning. All I did, which I admit was not much, is described in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes some notes about this morning. |

Yesterday was a very wet day. It was only light rain or drizzle, but it seemed to go on from early morning to at least 9pm. Most of the day felt quite cool, although the afternoon did reach 16° C for a couple of hours. ![]() Today may be totally dry,
but once again it will be a rather cool day. This
morning we have had some very sparse sunny spells,
but the rest of the day will be rather dull,
although maybe not dull enough to be gloomy. This
afternoon should see 18° C, which seems very poor
for June. Tomorrow we may be back to all day rain,
and the afternoon may struggle to reach a very poor
16° C, but 4pm may see 17° C for that one single
hour. I still think the seasons have gone crazy.
Yesterday was a day when I hardly did a thing. I seemed to be in a very lazy mood, or maybe I was just lacking inspiration. A cool and soggy wet day can do that to me. All I did that I can describe, is written in my complete archived page for today, and it includes the usual notes about my health and stuff this morning. |

Yesterday started with a few sunny spells, and there was some sunshine before sunset, but most of the day was dull. No rain was forecast, but I think I remember that there might have been one shower (but maybe it just went very dull outside for 20 minutes or something). The afternoon only reach 17° C, and the day felt cold. ![]() After may we seem to have
gone back to April instead of moving on to June.
Today will feature many "April showers". In the
forecast, every hour up until 9pm is shown as
raining. It is also all shown as light rain (except
4pm). So far it seems like we have onoly had passing
showers lasting maybe 10 minutes at a time. It still
makes for a nasty soggy day. Today's highest
temperature will be at midday and 1pm when just 16°
C is forecast. We really have moved back to April
instead on on to June ! Tomorrow could start with
some sunny spells and even sunshine, but from 9am
onwards, it may be dull, but it may be dry. The
afternoon temperature may reach a slightly better
than today, 19° C. What ever happened to "Flaming
June" ?
Yesterday was another not very exciting day. I had one thing planned and I didn't do it, and I also didn't go shopping because I thought it would bring too many food temptations. What I did do is described in my complete archived page for today, and which includes some notes about this morning, as usual. |

The forecast for yesterday looked dreadful ! There was some rain, but I don't remember it as a particularly wet day, and I don't recall even a distant peal of thunder. Yesterday morning I wrote that the day started of with sunny spells instead of thunderstorms. It was quite a cool day with an afternoon high of about 17° C. So that bit of the forecast was correct. ![]() This morning there are a
lot of grey clouds about, and it does look like rain
could be possible. The forecast actually shows a 10%
chance of rain for a few hours this morning, and I
have just noticed 12% for 11am - so possible, but
unlikely. We do seem to have lost the sunny spells
we had earlier. This afternoon is shown as dull, and
rather cool at just 17° C. From 7pm there may be a
few hours of full sunshine - nice, but a bit late to
do much with it. Tomorrow may feature almost a full
day of light rain, and it will be even colder with
an afternoon "high" of 15° C, but midday may be 16°
C !!
Yesterday was one of those days that had it's moments, but a lot of it seemed a bit bland. It was a day when I felt extra lazy, and barely managed to do the washing up, and cleaning and polishing of the beer glasses in time for a Thursday afternoon beer tasting session. My complete description of yesterday, plus a few notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday was not as wet as the forecast predicted. There was most certainly some rain, but while I was out in a thick, and hooded coat (really a winter coat) it stayed dry, and it wasn't even as cold as expected. The forecast predicted 15° C in the afternoon, but it felt more like it was almost 20° C. What rain there was turned out to be mostly very light rain. ![]() Last night seemed quite
cool, but I am not sure if it fell to just 14° C. It
is currently about 18° C, and we are having sunny
spells instead of thunderstorms. The weather
forecast (screen shot above) looks grim, but while
there are a few dark clouds in the sky, there are
possibly more blue patches. It is dry now, and maybe
dry later as well. It is already warmer than the
forecast for the afternoon temperature (just 16 and
later 17° C). The Met Office forecast shows no
thunderstorms, but it does show the sunny spells we
are having now (or had, because it has just gone a
bit dull). It does show a fair bit of rain, but most
of it looks to be light rain. If it can be trusted
to be anything like reality, the BBC forecast for
tomorrow shows sunshine and then sunny spells until
mid morning. After that it will be dull, but no rain
is forecast for tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon's
temperature may only reach 17° C.
Yesterday was a fair day. Getting one of my new Sigma lenses early was great, and after a wash I could go out to walk to The Jolly Farmers without having to worry about rushing before the estimated delivery time of my parcel. The complete description of my day (or I can remember) can be read in my complete archived page for today, and which includes some notes about this morning. |

Yesterday was wet, and I could hear thunder nearby (although it was probably a mile or two away at the closest). The afternoon temperature struggled up to 19° C for a single hour. Most of the afternoon was just 18° C. The rain, which was never particularly heavy seemed to dry up at around 9pm, and we had a brief glimpse of sun before the night fell. ![]() Much of today could be
wet, although no heavy rain, and no thunderstorms
are forecast. At just 13° C it is a rather cool
start to the day, and the best we can hope for is
18° C at 5pm. Tonight the temperature will fall down
to 14° C. Tomorrow may start at just 13° C (after
the hottest May on record, it now looks like we may
be getting the coldest June ever !). The maximum
temperature tomorrow may be just 17° C. Rain is
forecast for all daylight hours tomorrow, and the
BBC forecast shows many thunderstorms - more than
were forecast for yesterday.
Yesterday was another rather dull day, and once again I had to invent stuff to do to keep me occupied for some of the time. None of it was very productive, and one thing could be called destructive. I thought I had managed to control my eating quite well for such a day, but this morning there seems to be proof I must have been quite reckless. My day is more fully described in my complete archived page for today, and which includes some notes about this morning. |

Yesterday was fairly cool with an afternoon temperature of just 20° C. The morning featured some sunny spells, but from mid morning it turned dull, and stayed that way for the rest of the day. The forecast said light rain from 5pm, but as far as I was aware there was no rain until much later into the evening, but it might have been that I was just unaware of any earlier rain. ![]() This morning we started at
15° C, and a lot of rain. It looked like it had been
raining in the night as well, but I was not awake to
observe that. The rain may continue, with maybe a
pause at 11am, until 8pm tonight. Most rain is shown
as light rain, but there will be heavier periods of
rain, and maybe we will get the thunderstorms that
appear on the BBC weather forecast, but not on the
Met Office forecast ! This afternoon the temperature
may peak briefly at 19° C. It is going to be a cool
day ! Tomorrow may be even cooler. An afternoon high
of just 17° C is forecast. It will be another dull
day with a lot of light rain, but maybe no
thunderstorms.
Yesterday was a rather dull day, and I had to invent stuff to do to keep me occupied some of the time. Fortunately it was useful stuff. One thing was not an invention but a needed thing. That vagueness is explained along with a more complete description of my day, plus some notes about this morning, all in my complete archived page for today. |

After a couple of sunny spells soon after sunrise, yesterday was a grey day until about 8pm when there were a few more sunny spells as the sun peeped over the edge of the world before finally setting. The afternoon temperature reached 22° C, and with no sunshine it straddled the line between cool and hot. By midnight the temperature had dropped to 16° C, and fell a bit more through the night. ![]() We start the month of June
with weather which would have been more appropriate
to May. This morning featured a chilly wind blowing
in my window even if the thermometer said it was 14°
C outside. A few sunny spells may help to warm
things up this morning, but they finished around
8am. Until 5pm it will be dull, but the afternoon
may still see 20° C. After 5pm it is forecast that
we will get wet. Mostly light rain is expected from
then on, and into the night. A few hours may feature
heavy rain, but I should be safely tucked up in bed
when that happens. The BBC are having that fantasy
about thunderstorms again. There could be a
thunderstorm as early as 4am tomorrow morning, and
more in the morning and afternoon. The afternoon
temperature tomorrow may only reach 19° C. It could
be dry after 9pm tomorrow.
Yesterday was, in some respects a good day, but it wasn't good all the time. On the plus side I did some shopping, and I did some laundry. I must admit that still left quite a few hours to be bored in. Despite few attractions I thought I managed to control my eating quite well, but I did make one tragic mistake. My complete description, or all I can remember, of yesterday can be read, along with notes about this morning, in my complete archived page for yesterday. |
