  It is 18° C as I write this at just gone 9am. Most of the sky is clear, and so instead of sunny spells we have full sunshine. It may last for many hours. This afternoon is forecast to be dull, but I wonder ? The temperature is forecast to reach  23° C today, and the last hours of daylight could feature sunny spells and even full sunshine. It doesn't look like tonight will be all that cold, although tomorrow could start as low as 15° C. Tomorrow should be a very sunny day, and the afternoon should reach 25° C. Although the day after could still be 24° C, it is looking like tomorrow may be the grand finale of summer.

  I don't know why, but yesterday seemed to be an even worse day than the day before. It was almost as if I had some sort of physical illness, but it is more likely it was all in the mind. I did one thing I semi needed to do, but could not raise the enthusiasm for anything more.   It is between 17 and 18° C as I write this. That and the bright sunshine agree with the forecast. If the forecast continues to match reality it will soon be dull and depressing until 8pm when the could be a sunny spells from the setting sun. By 2pm the temperature may reach 21° C. That seems very poor for a day in August, and doubly so considering it is likely to be very dull outside. Tomorrow may start colder than today, but there could be an assortment of sunshine and sunny spells that should warm tomorrow up to 23° C.

  I know I got a bit drunk on Thursday evening, but it wasn't rolling drunk - just enough to mess with my food choices (and quantities). It seems almost inconceivable that I would suffer the consequences of it almost all day yesterday, but once again it seems it did !   My outside, radio connected, thermometer were reading very slightly different at 6am this morning. All but one, which probably has some other source of warmth (maybe a better view of the sky) tended to agree it was just over 11° C, and that perilously close to single figures - aka bloody chilly for August. The good thing is that the forecast sunshine turns out to be what we are having right now, and it looks like it will last longer than the forecast end at 10am. There may be a few dull hours to come, but most of the rest of daylight hours shows sunny spells. We could see a warm-ish 21° C by late afternoon. Tomorrow may start at 15° C with sunny spells, but most of the day may be dull, and it may only rise to 20° C in the late afternoon. It is looking like Monday may be the last day of summer - unless we have an Indian summer.

  I expected that I would have time to go shopping in Tesco yesterday, but yesterday, very much like today, was one of those days where everything seems to be in slow motion. I did get most things, that needed doing, done, but shopping was not one of them.   Today may follow a similar pattern to yesterday, but it was be far from the same. Today started off feeling chilly at just 14° C, and it may only reach 19° C by 3pm when the sun might break through the clouds, but this time only to give sunny spells. Today's high may only be 20° C. The flaw in this forecast is that as I write this the clouds look lumpy, and it does look like some blue gaps could appear at any time to let the occasional ray of sunshine through. Clear skies tonight may mean a very cool feeling 12° C start to tomorrow, but the sky will still be clear, and the day may start with full sunshine.By mid morning that will change to just sunny spells, and there may even be a couple of hours with no sunshine at all. The temperature could peak at 22° C.

  Just recently things have been going quite well, although "wonderful" would be a big exaggeration. Yesterday was another day that was fairly good in places, and good enough for most of the rest of the time. I can't say the same about my health, but the good was good, and the bad wasn't terribly bad.   The forecast seems very accurate at the moment - it is very dull and cloudy ! The temperature prediction seems to be about a degree lower than reality, but that is close enough. If we are very lucky we will see sunny spells from midday, and full sunshine from 3pm, but they have made similar claims in the past and all we got was more dull and depressing greyness. The temperature forecast of just 21° C brings very little joy. Tomorrow starts a degree cooler, but there could be sunny spells from 10am, and they might continue until the end of the day. No full sunshine is predicted, but there is a 4% chance of rain at 10am. Once again the afternoon temperature may only be 21° C. I'm think it might be time to get out my long trousers again soon.

  Yesterday could be described as a good day, but the only really good bit of it was getting the two lots of beer I had ordered being delivered. Admittedly one was a bigger reason for joy because I was not sure if it would even turn up. The company was mysteriously quiet after I made the order, and then on Monday it all burst into activity.   The sky looks very similar to how it looked for most of yesterday. It means that the sunny spells forecast for right now are not happening, and it seems unlikely the sun will break through for hours, and possibly not at all today. On the other hand, with sunny spells forecast for the whole afternoon, and early evening, at least one must happen ! The forecasts says a maximum of 23° C today.  Tomorrow, like most mornings now, will start off rather cool, just 15° C, and it may only warm up to 21° C. The morning may, and probably will, start very dull, but at midday we may get sunny spells. From 2pm we may get full sunshine. The wind will be from the north, and so presumably that will make the 21° C feel even colder. It will be like feeling the first breath of Autumn, and with Winter close on it's heels.

  Maybe I am getting numb to it, but yesterday was dull enough to be very depressing, and yet it wasn't. Even terrible blood glucose results and a lot of weight gain didn't seem to make me feel depressed, although both made me very careful.   It seems we are back to the doom and gloom today. It is as the forecast says, rather dull outside. I hope that today the sun will break through by 2pm, as per the forecast, and won't be like the day before yesterday when the clouds only broke up in the evening, and when it was too late to see any sunshine. The best we can hope for today is just 22° C. Tomorrow may see the return of sunny spells, and that may increase the afternoon temperature to 23° C.

  It is hard to know whether to describe yesterday as good or bad. I think there were lingering effects of the dull and gloomy day the day before, and although it was bright outside, I still found myself lacking in enthusiasm to do much more than eat.   My possibly most accurate (since mounting it on a wall that is in permanent shade) thermometer said it was just 15° C outside at a bit after 7am. That is a degree more than forecast. It still felt like an icy blast when I opened the dining room window. The important thing about today is that it has started sunny, and the full, non stop, sunshine may last until 7pm. (Of course this is from the same forecaster that said most of yesterday would feature sunny spells, but actually featured zero sunshine). For all that, only 23° C is expected today. The first half of tomorrow may bed dull and grey. From 2pm there may be sunny spells, and from 5pm there may be full sunshine until sunset. It will be cooler than today - just 22° C forecast.

  It was not my intention to do so little yesterday that I might write even less than yesterday morning, but I did do very little. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, I did do one thing - I spent an awful lot of money in Aldi. Most of that money spent was spent on many small things instead of something expensive.   This morning has started off rather dull. This is as forecast, but there is some dispute about when we will first see the sun. The BBC forecast (above) says 1pm, and the Met Office says 10am. Both forecasts saay the afternoon will only see sunny spells, but from about 5pm we could have non stop sunshine until sunset. No rain is forecast for today, and the temperature may only rise to 24° C (or possibly 25° C for a single hour). Tomorrow may feature almost non stop sunshine, but a high of only 23° C is forecast.

  Yesterday I managed to keep this electronic diary down to 1,675 words. Considering how little I did yesterday, I ought to be able to make it even shorter. In theory it was a boring day, but it didn't seem to feel that way. Maybe I really did need the extra rest after a very poor night the previous night.   This morning has started off with full sunshine, and the forecast says full sunshine should last the whole day long. No rain at all is forecast (which doesn't necessarily mean we won't have a thunderstorm or snow), and the temperature should reach 29° C, but only for a single hour at 5pm.  Tomorrow may start dull and at only 17° C. The dullness may last until 10am when there may be sunny spells until 5pm when we may see full sunshine until sunset. Tomorrow may feel almost cold with just 24° C forecast. Sunday may see full sunshine almost all day, but it will be cooler at just 23° C. Winter is on it's way !

  Yesterday was another fair day. I did at least one thing I was not sure I would do, and I didn't do one thing I wanted to do. It was another day when time seemed to slip through my fingers, before I knew it, it seemed too late to do some stuff I was thinking of doing - and that happened several times.   It is still medium grey today, and it seems it could be some time before the sun breaks through the murk - if it ever does ! The overnight cloud kept some of the warmth in, and this morning started off at about 20° C instead of the forecast 17° C. This afternoon may well reach the forecast 27° C, but it all makes all the blathering on the news last night about an extended heatwave seem completely wrong. Tomorrow may feature full sunshine from dawn to dusk, and the temperature may even reach the forecast 29° C. So still not quite a heatwave (30° C and over by my personal rules).

  Yesterday was a fair day. There were not great excitements, but it seemed mostly pleasant, and maybe because of that I almost took care of what I ate, but in reality I probably took some bad decisions. One thing I want to do today is to not say as much as usual. Oddly enough I seemed to have written two more than I wrote yesterday.   Today should feature non stop sunshine like yesterday, but the forecast says the temperature will only peak at 27° C. Tomorrow up to half the hours may only see sunny spells, but the temperature may rise an extra degree to 28° C. Once again it should be perfectly dry. The day after tomorrow may see 29° C.

  Yesterday was another of those days when not a lot happened, but it still seemed a satisfactory day. I have no idea how I did it, but I seemed to have eaten sensibly....well, sort of. The big event was a shopping trip, and that was the reason why I did what I did instead of what I might have done.   There may have been damp patches, and small puddles left from rain in the night, but today started with blue skies and sunshine. That sunshine is forecast to last all day, and it should push today's temperature up to 30° C. The forecast for tomorrow is very similar to that for today, but there are a few small changes. The most obvious being a maximum temperature of only 27° C. and 4pm may only see sunny spells. There is a small chance of rain, all under 17% at 11am, midday, and 5pm.

  Yesterday was one of those days that can't really be described as enjoyable, but was still very satisfactory. That satisfaction ranged from going for a short walk, getting quite a few jobs done, and somehow managing to eat correctly enough to get some good health readings this morning.   This morning has started off slightly fresh feeling, but very sunny, and it is forecast to be very sunny all day long. By 3pm the temperature should reach 28° C. Tomorrow will be like today except we can expect 30° C, but that will probably be the peak for this run of very good weather - which should be dry and sunny for at least the next 7 days.

  It was mostly a couple of small things that made yesterday a good day. That might even include a 10% beer in the afternoon - which was extremely nice, but was instrumental of ruining my diet, although curiously it didn't seem to sabotage my blood glucose level.   The current temperature is 18° C, and that agrees with the forecast. The forecast also says there should be a clear sky and full sunshine, and there is ! If the rest of the day follows the forecast we should see full sunshine all day (except maybe at 1pm), and the temperature should peak at 26° C. Tomorrow should be almost the same except the temperature may reach 28° C. The next few days should see similar, but towards the end of the coming week may see it start to cool off a bit.

  Yesterday was a fairly good day. I achieved a few useful things, but I was feeling lazy a lot of the time, or at least I think I was probably lazy because I can't recall doing anything important or useful for big chunks of yesterday. One extra thing I did achieve was to slightly spoil my diet.   I have a feeling that today's forecast probably describes yesterday. It is now 8:47am and although seeming to get brighter, we have not seen any actual sunshine yet. Even my weather stations can't agree. One says sunshine and the other says sunny spells. Maybe the clouds will go away at 4pm to give strong sunshine, and the temperature will rise to 24° C. Incidentally, my thermometers say it is currently 19° C, but the forecast thinks it should be 17° C. Tomorrow may see full sunshine all day long, and the temperature rising to 26° C. Most of next week may be hot and sunny !

  Yesterday was probably quite a good day. I didn't get everything done as intended, but I did enough, and the day seemed somehow pleasant.  I hate to admit it, but maybe after a less then ideal start, I seemed to feel quite good, almost like being in good health, yesterday.   Even the barometers in my weather stations say today will be sunny. It is sunny as I write this, but the sky is not clear blue. Many views of it look white from thin clouds. No rain is forecast for today, and the sunshine should push the temperature up to 24° C. Tomorrow will see a fair few hours with only sunny spells, but the rest of the day should see full sunshine. The temperature should reach 24° C again. The day after tomorrow could see 25° C.

  Yesterday was rather better than expected. There was really only one negative aspect, and it was I was unable to get to the shops as I intended. The reason is not exactly pleasant, and there were after shocks even this morning ! The really good thing was completing a task I never even expected to get started.   This morning had definitely not started as good as the forecast predicts. So far this morning it has been dull and cloudy, and it looks like that could continue for a while yet...maybe all day ! To make matters even worse, I can see a few fresh raindrops on my windows as I write this. once again we are back to a high of 21° C. Tomorrow may be bright and sunny almost all day, and the temperature may peak at 23° C. From Saturday until next Friday we might have strong sunshine and temperature as high as 27° C.

  Yesterday was mostly an enjoyable, but tiring day. It was also a day where only one thing got done, although that can be split into two things, but both were enjoyable in their own way. It was later in the afternoon when I went into pure lazy mode...or is it lazy when it doesn't feel like you have enough energy left to do any different.   This morning the sky looks more hazy than clear. It is more white than blue, but there is some hazy sunshine now, and maybe it will get stronger later in the day. We are now in the run up to warmer days, and today it should reach 23° C. Having said that, tomorrow may be disappointing. Only sunny spells are forecast, and while it should be another totally dry day, the temperature may only reach 21° C.

  Yesterday was an odd day. I kept thinking I had no energy or enthusiasm, and yet I achieved a lot. Somehow it was a most satisfactory day, and that satisfaction continued this morning, but not for my night. I can't say I slept well at all last night.   This morning started with almost clear sky - I think the sky looked more hazy than blue, but it is looking blue now, and we have strong sunshine. The sunshine may give way to just sunny spells soon, , but full sunshine may be back at 7pm. For all that sunshine the forecast says this afternoon will only reach 21° C.  Even tomorrow, which is currently forecast to have over half a day of full sunshine, may only see 22° C. By the weekend we may see 25 and 26° C.

  Yesterday was another bad day, although the worst of it was the morning when my schedule was set back 3 or more hours thanks to long phone calls. Neither had to be that long, and the second one could have been answered by a simple yes or no.   Yesterday the forecast for today was for a very wet day, but this morning it seems less severe. Admittedly the whole afternoon could feature light showers, but only two hours, 5 and 6pm, show more than a 50% chance of rain. The temperature could be another day when only 21° C is forecast (although yesterday did reach 22° C). Tomorrow could start semi-chilly at just 14° C, but it may be sunny, and it may be the first of a series of days featuring more and more sunshine, and rising temperatures, although tomorrow may still only peak at 21° C. 

  Yesterday was not a good day for me. I did not feel well, and by lunchtime I was wondering if I had 'flu or something. All sorts of bits of me, mostly joints and muscles were aching. I'm tempted to say this improved during the day, but on reflection, I am not sure it did.   Yesterday's prediction for today included at least one thunderstorm, but this morning's version of the forecast shows only some light rain for 4 and 5pm when the thunderstorm was supposed to happen. This morning is bright, but there is still enough cloud to stop any direct rays of sunshine for now, but it is the sort of cloud that has random gaps in it, and could break up to allow bigger gaps. Maybe there will be sunny spells later, and maybe the afternoon will be dull, but I suspect it is going to be mostly pot luck today. The afternoon will probably reach 22° C, and while not wonderful, it is satisfactory.  Tomorrow may start with some sunny spells, but the afternoon may see some light showers. Once again the temperature may reach 21° C. We still have to wait for next Wednesday or Thursday for some warm sunny weather.

  Yesterday was a good, but tiring day. It was Petts Wood Calling day, and I managed a nearly 7 hour stint there, but I was fast asleep in bed before the last band, Glamstar, would have been much more than halfway through their set. It was the getting there, and getting home again that was the most tiring bit.   The sun is trying to shine as I write this, but there is a lot of thin cloud to the east where the sun is. It does look clear to the west. Maybe there will be earlier sunny spells than those forecast for 6pm until sunset. The temperature today may only be 21° C. Tomorrow the BBC is forecast more thunderstorms that probably won't happen. Like today there will probably be sunny spells in the morning and evening. The most likely time for a thunderstorm is 4pm when there is a 55% chance of rain. It could be sunshine instead of thunderstorms again ! Tomorrow may see the temperature rising to 22° C. Summer may return next Wednesday.

  Yesterday was not a very productive day, and today is going to be a mad dash. I need to try and make today's electronic diary short so I can get ready in time to get a train to Petts Wood early enough to ideally get there before 12:30.   As I write this (9:40pm) it is bright outside, and there have been a few thin rays of sunshine, but earlier on when sunny spells were forecast it seemed very dull. The next thing in the forecast is light rain from 3pm to 7pm. It is anyone's guess if we see this or not. The temperature should reach a peak of 20° C by 1pm, and it may stay there until 4pm when it will start to fall again. It will be another quite cool night, but some (possible) sunshine in the morning may help the day warm up a bit. The afternoon may be dull, but sunny spells may resume again at 5pm. At 6pm the temperature may peak at a none too impressive 22° C for one single hour. It is possible some weather more suited to summer may return in the middle of next week.

  Yesterday was one of those days when it felt like I was very busy doing very little. It did end with a good, if slightly miserable, booze up, but I can't really say there was any highlight yesterday.
